Vehicle-specific recall check

Look up recalls by VIN

The VIN is sent directly to NHTSA and is not stored by RecallRoute.

Why a VIN check matters

Model-level campaigns can include only certain production dates or configurations. A VIN lookup is the authoritative way to confirm whether a specific vehicle is included.

Where to find the VIN

Check the lower driver-side windshield, the driver-side door jamb, or the vehicle registration document. A VIN contains 17 letters and numbers and does not use I, O, or Q.

Official safety source

Recall eligibility and remedy status are provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
