International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021, 2023-2027 MV, and 2026-2027 HV vehicles. The battery interconnect cable may contact the auxiliary stud and hold down bracket, causing a short circuit.

Safety consequence

A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy

Dealers will install plastic saddles onto the positive interconnect cable and as necessary, install wind laces and a J-bolt between each battery, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 14, 2026. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26510. This recall replaces and expands NHTSA Recall 25V534. Vehicles previously repaired under 25V534 will need the new remedy completed.

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2016 7600, 2016-2023 Lonestar, 2018 8600, 2018-2023 LT, 2021-2026 MV, 2022-2023 RH, 2023-2026 HX, and 2025-2026 HV vehicles. Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Safety consequence

Safety systems that depend on the ECU, such as Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System, may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 19, 2026. International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2018 International 4000 Series 4300, 2017-2025 MV, 2018-2024 1300 FBC, 2018-2025 IC Bus TC, and 2024-2025 IC Bus CECB vehicles. The brake pressure switch assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch's electrical components and cause an electrical short-circuit.

Safety consequence

An electrical short in the brake pressure switch can overheat the circuit and increase the risk of a fire while driving or parked.

Remedy

Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will install a silicone black jumper harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 15, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25509. Vehicles previously repaired under 23V397 will need to have the new remedy completed.

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2024 HV, 2020-2025 MV, and 2019 Workstar 7400 trucks. The caliper may contact a suspension spring or axle U-bolt and prevent the outer brake pad from functioning.

A loss of outer brake pad function can extend the vehicle's stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will switch the left and right rear air disc brake calipers, replace the rear brake torque plates, and replace the brake pads, free of charge. Service Brakes, Air:Antilock:Abs Warning Light

Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2024 International HV, HX, LoneStar, LT, MV, eMV, and RH trucks, and IC Bus CE, 2021-2023 IC Bus RE, and 2022-2023 IC Bus TC Commercial Buses. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator light does not remain illuminated when a malfunction exists, and when the vehicle's ignition switch is on, and the vehicle is in motion. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

An ABS indicator light that fails to remain illuminated will not alert the driver of an ABS malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Towing variant vehicles under this campaign will not be repaired under recall 24V-8918. Dealers will update the software, free of charge. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2000-2003 International 8100, 2001-2003 International 9100i, 2001-2007 International 9400i, 2001-2010 International 9200i, 2002-2007, 2009 International 8500, 2003-2007, 2013 International 9900i, 2003-2018 International 8600, 2004, 2007 International 9900iX, 2008-2018 International ProStar, 2010-2011, 2013, 2016 International LoneStar, 2011-2012, 2016 International 4400, 2017-2024 International LT, 2018-2024 International RH, 2019-2021 International LS, 2019-2024 International MV vehicles. The back-up lights offer low visibility when the vehicle is in reverse and bobtail mode. Also, the vehicles have not been equipped with additional unobstructed back-up lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Low visibility or obstructed back up lights may not alert other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.

When the parking brake is applied, the automatic transmission is still in drive or reverse position, and the stationary power take-off (PTO) switch is engaged by the operator, the engine may rev and overcome the parking brake's ability to keep the vehicle from moving.

Dealers inspected the hub retaining nuts for damage and replaced them, as necessary, free of charge.
